Gentle Moves

ChiBall Gentle Moves and Graceful Ageing

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has evolved over thousands of years. TCM practitioners use various mind and body practices (such as acupuncture and tai chi) to address health problems. Some mind and body practices used in Traditional Chinese Medicine practices may help improve your quality of life and reduce certain painful conditions.

One of these practices, like Tai Chi, combines certain postures, gentle movements, mental focus, breathing, and relaxation. This could benefit many people with reduced mobility who feel discouraged because of fitness barriers, such as chronic health conditions or concerns about injury or falls. If they have never exercised before, they may not know where to begin. Or maybe an on-going health problem or ability impairment is keeping them from getting active. They may even think they are simply too old or frail.

These are the reasons why ChiBall introduced our ChiBall Gentle Moves programme – an online course for people who want to enjoy graceful aging or help their body move better. Gentle Moves can assist in managing the symptoms of illness and pain and ensure that not only do you look after your body but also your mind, mood, and memory. It is a unique experience of colour, music and flowing movement. With foundations in Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, it is a synergy of six ancient and modern movement disciplines from the East and the West, including Tai Chi-Qi Gong, ChiBall Dance, Yoga, Pilates, ChiBall release and Deep relaxation.

The ChiBall Gentle Moves Course is also relevant those yoga, physiotherapist or Pilates instructors wanting to introduce a gentle exercise routine for participants who want to improve their overall health including those participants with reduced mobility caused by increasing age, injury or illness.

The exercises are ideal for older adults, or those with limited mobility. Low impact exercises are taught from both sitting and standing positions. It is a “feel good” and uplifting experience which has been embraced by participants with a range of abilities and conditions including balance and mobility issues, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s Disease.
