Rafael Moreno was a ChiBall Master Trainer whose passion for movement and teaching touched people around the world. He created the Dance of the Dragon choreography, which is still taught and practised today.
Rafael passed away in 2007. In his memory, and in consultation with his family, we created the Rafael Moreno Scholarship – a living tribute to his generosity, his joy and the ChiBall values of Simplicity, Innovation, Authenticity, Passion and Respect.
What the scholarship offers
Each recipient receives full access to all four parts of the ChiBall Teacher Training course, valued at $499. The scholarship is for people who are committed to sharing movement and mindfulness in their local communities, especially those who would otherwise find the cost a barrier.
Our scholarship recipients
Over the years we have received many applications, each assessed by our training team. In response to the challenges wellness professionals faced during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, six inspiring people were awarded the scholarship:
- Renay Jacobs – Hertfordshire, UK
- Lyndsay Murray – Northern Ireland
- Debbie Ansell – NSW, Australia
- Diane Hollebone – NSW, Australia
- Tina Dale – Adelaide, Australia
- Michelle Brown – Liverpool, UK
How to apply
Tell us, in about 500 words:
- about yourself and what you do now
- why ChiBall resonates with you
- how the scholarship would help your personal or professional goals, and the community you’d share ChiBall with
Email your application to admin@chiball.com.au. We ask recipients to share a little of their ChiBall journey – a short training diary or a post on our Facebook page – to inspire others. Share only what feels comfortable.
